De flesta bygger plastmodeller nu för tiden, men prova gärna andra former av modellbyggen också. Trämodeller är mycket fina, men ibland lite avancerade. Pappersmodeller finns i många olika nivåer. Dornier DO-X
298,00 krThe Dornier Do X passenger airship with a take-off mass of 48 tonnes was in its time the largest aircraft in the world by far. It was built in metal and operated by the "Do-Flug AG" in Altenrhein on Lake Constance in Switzerland. At the beginning it was intended for military use as a naval long-range aircraft. On 21 October 1929 the Do X took off on a round trip with a ten man crew and 159 works employees. At that time the number of people it carried was a sensational record that stood unbroken for 20 years. On 5 November 1930 it took off on an international promotional flight intended to demonstrate the luxurious comfort and safety of the Do X. The journey went from Amsterdam, via England, France, Portugal and Gran Canaria as far as Portuguese Guinea. After the Atlantic crossing the airship landed in the bay of Rio de Janeiro. The machine then flew to New York. The return flight ended with a landing on Lake Müggel in Berlin on 24 May 1932. For a whole month the mighty Do X was an attraction for all Berliners. Innumerable pleasure steamers and small boats thronged round the flying boat. Over a million people looked it over on the subsequent German roundtrip. At the end of 1934 the German Ministry of Aviation discontinued the passenger flights. From 1935 the machine was held in the "German Aviation Collection" in Berlin until it was destroyed in 1945. C-17 Globemaster III

In addition to world-wide supply flights the C-17 has become indispensable for transporting the wounded out of crisis areas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Already in the 1970s there were plans to replace the C-130 and later the C-141 also. In 1981 McDonnell Douglas received the design order. The prototype made its first flight on 15.9.1991. Officially the C-17 went into service with the 437th Airlift Wing out of Charleston AFB on 14.7.1993. In the meantime eleven USAF wings have been equipped with the C-17. The capabilities of the C-17 in terms of long-range flights and short take-offs and landings on temporary airfields made it the ideal transport for military, humanitarian and peace missions. The "17 cm Kanone 18" cannon built from 1942 and the "21 cm Mörser 18" heavy howitzer built from 1938 were among the main guns used by the German Army artillery. In order to bring the gun into the firing position the base plate was lowered and secured by earth spades, the wheels were raised and the limber was disconnected. 369,00 krThe Marder (Marden) has been for 40 years the main combat vehicle of the German Panzergrenadiere. Constant improvements have kept it up to date with the Bundeswehr requirements. The latest version, Marder 1 A5, includes a protection against nearly all existing antitank mines. The armament includes a 20 mm quick firing gun, an MG3 machine gun under turret and a Milan anti-tank guided missile launcher. The rear door gives access to up to 6 panzergrenadiere. The internal setup has been reconfigured to improve blast protection. The Marder 1 A5 has been used with success in occasion of international conflicts such as KFOR (Kosovo) and ISAF (Afghanistan).
