The Ferrari Challenge racing series was inaugurated in 1993. In 1999 Michael Schumacher introduced the new Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge which would run in the Challenge from 2000. The customer racing sports series offers modern motor sport at the highest level and brings together Ferrari pilots from 10 different European countries. Norbert Graf has participated in the Ferrari Challenge since 1996. Born in M�lheim, he can look back on a long motor sports career. Since the middle of the eighties he has gained a great deal of experience in long distance races with the BMW M3 with which he had appropriate successes. From 1993 onwards he took part in the FIA-GT championships. In 2001 this building contractor won the European title in the Ferrari Challenge class for experienced drivers, the Pirelli trophy. In 2003, racing for the Saggio team from W�rzburg, he took second place in the German championship and in the Pirelli trophy he scored 135 points in the overall standings. .

This economical, reliable little T3 transporter was made from 1979 onwards. The completely redeveloped vehicle with its practical modern shape was visibly roomier than its predecessors. As the last rear-engined type made by VW, it was regarded as the last real "bully". The 4-cylinder engine offered 50 to 112 bhp according to version. As usual the transporter appeared in various commercial vehicle versions and also in the form of a camper for private use. In particular the successful "Joker" version from the Westfalia company in Gütersloh, with whom VW had been cooperating since the 1950s, enjoyed great popularity. The Westfalia Joker was eminently suitable as a multi-function vehicle for traveling to work, for routine daily use, and also for longer holiday journeys. Sales in excess of 70,000 of this "home on wheels" vouch for its great popularity at home and abroad. Its comfortable living space with integral driver's cab had a complete kitchen unit, seats and beds, storage cupboards and a practical rising roof.

The fire-brigade is regarded as an emergency service that provides assistance at traffic accidents and chemical spills, floods, conflagrations and all conceivable catastrophes. The Schlingmann HLF 20/16 (Emergency and Fire-Fighting Fleet Vehicle) based on a Daimler Chrysler MB Atego 1529 AF is a vehicle which, due to its versatility and extensive equipment, is usually the first to attend at fires and also traffic accidents or other catastrophes and therefore meets the current job specifications. The water tank of the HLF 20/16 has a capacity of 2,400 litres, with an additional 140 litre foam tank under the roof. For the large water tank and for fire extinguishing capability it has a powerful pump that can deliver 2,000 litres of water per minute at an output pressure of 10 bar. The 279 bhp (205 kW) engine and all-wheel drive enable the crew of driver and 8 other firemen to arrive quickly and safely at the scene. Whether it is a house fire, a traffic accident or a cat up a tree, the HLF 20/16 is equipped for all eventualities, as in additional to the normal supply of hoses and quick acting devices it carries technical life-saving appliances as standard. On the roof there are as standard ladders and a lighting mast that rotates and extends. To the rear is a towed carriage with hose reels for up to 8 B hoses.

The most spectacular racing car and until now most powerful Audi ever is powered by a twin turbo charged twelve cylinder TDI engine with 5.5 litre cylinder capacity. The powerful power-unit offers over 650 horsepower and a torque in excess of 1100 Newton metres. The V-12 runs extremely smoothly and requires an injector pressure of around 2000 bar. Development of the diesel sports cars at Audi was looked upon as a great technical challenge partly because of the high torque and associated high power developed by the engine. Compared to its predecessor the R8 therefore, not only the engine and gearbox are new. Audi has already written Motor Sport history with this excellent racing car. Never before has a diesel powered vehicle won such an overwhelming victory in one of the hardest races in the world, the Le-Mans 24 hour race.

The Race Touareg is a thoroughbred racing car, which was purpose-built, in particular for the Dakar Rally. The motor sports prototype has little in common the Touareg designed for the road - some contours of the outer shell, the modern diesel technology and some unusual but different capabilities. The Race Touareg not based on a normal chassis, but on a massive tubular space frame, a carefully thought out body formed of tubes made to withstand extremely highly stresses. Thanks to double spring shock absorbers, the Race Toureg can withstand the impassable terrain of this marathon rally, and above all those wicked sand dunes. The Race Touareg is driven by a 2.5 litre, 5-cylinders in-line engine with TDI technology with a capacity 260 bhp. The successful female duo of Jutta Kleinschmidt, winner of the 2001 rally and therefore the first woman in the world ever to win the title in the toughest race in the world, and Fabrizia Pons who can look back on over 25 years of rallying experience, were the best Volkswagen team of the 2005 season and decisively took 3rd place in the overall standings.

In addition to Formula 1 engagements, the Scuderia Ferrari racing sports department also operates the Corsi Clienti as a racing sports series for customers. Their most exclusive racing series is the Ferrari F360 Challenge that has been held since 1993. This is split between the Pirelli Trophy and the Shell Cup. Although none of the drivers in the Shell Cup can be professional pilots, like them most of these have a great deal of talent and experience, because the same excellent reactions and concentration are required. On 2003, Markus Lehner, a successful businessman, took the title convincingly, in only his second year in this demanding racing series, with a total of 194 points to become the European Champion in his class. His Ferrari 360 Challenge, with over 400 bhp, reaches a top speed of over 300 km/h and accelerates from 0 - 200 km/h in just 10 seconds.
